A man is not what he thinks he is, but what he thinks, he is! So the maxim goes. Right living begins with right thinking. What we essentially become begins in the mind. C.H. Spurgeon put it this way: God will not live in the parlour of our hearts if we entertain the devil in the cellar of our thoughts. So come sit in my parlor and 'mull with me.'

WAITING FOR JESUS........TRUSTINGLY
At times it seems you've fished and fished for Jesus and caught precious little, if much of anything at all, and, the fog of weariness or the bleary eyes of disbelief prohibit us from seeing Jesus on the shore of our lives for a new directive. So, you keep looking for Him..... trustingly and patiently. He always shows up on time and makes Himself known tenderly and with a new point of instruction. He did with the discouraged fishermen He loved:
"Simon Peter *said to them, “I am going fishing.” They *said to him, “We will also come with you.” They went out and got into the boat; and that night they caught nothing. But when the day was now breaking, Jesus stood on the beach; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. So Jesus *said to them, “Children, you do not have any fish, do you?” They answered Him, “No.” And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right-hand side of the boat and you will find a catch.” So they cast, and then they were not able to haul it in because of the great number of fish" (John 21:3-6).
God, not infrequently, tests our faith by making us wait and even launch our seemingly foolishly to make yet another effort.
